The opening is great - that zingy burst of citrus mandarin and bergamot is so refreshing and uplifting. It's like a refreshing drink on a hot day. But I wish the top notes lasted a bit longer because they're so invigorating. The heart and base are where it gets interesting. The florals of orange blossom and lily of the valley are beautifully balanced with the deeper notes of vetiver and musk. It's a complex mix that creates a sophisticated yet modern smell. Overall, Valaya is a great scent with a strong personality. If you want a fresh and uplifting fragrance that's also sophisticated, then this might be for you. The nymphyl Talia and the akigala woods add an interesting, almost mystical quality to the middle and base notes, giving it depth without overpowering the floral notes.
