Normally, I’m not into scents that are very sweet (although I am learning to appreciate them). So I was a little nervous to give this little gem a chance, but I’m so glad I did because it has become the perfume I reach for the most. The brown sugar comes off almost coffee-like to me, and the pear and lemon tart waft in and out for me. It smells almost like you’re in a very fancy cafe that serves galette and the finest roast possible. It’s sweet but not sugary, and not too much so. It’s comforting and warm. It’s everything I could have possibly hoped for. I didn’t know what to expect with the scent note combination, but it is beautiful!
I am a gourmand lover and was so excited for this fragrance. It is a huge let down. It was awful. I had to scrub it off. I think it might have been ambroxan but this perfume smelled like burning tires. It was very strong and burned my eyes. I am so disappointed I cannot wear this fragrance.
I'm really not a good perfume reviewer so here's my review as a simple person who loves perfume. I lived in alberta for 26 yrs and recently moved to the states. So the description made me nostalgic and miss my home up north and all the memories. The perfume smells yummy although on the darker side...more like burnt brown sugar to me than brighter pear. I keep sniffing my arm when I wear it. I do.plan to buy a full sized bottle. It's expensive but I like it enough to splurge on it.
