The story of Green Irish Tweed began in June 1984, when perfumer Olivier Creed, found himself on a hunting trip through the storied landscapes of Ireland. He was struck by the vivid emerald hues and the subtle sweetness of the dew-dampened grass underfoot. The brisk, rain-tossed breeze carried the scent of earth and foliage, filling his notebook with phrases like "deep green grass" and "sea-laced air". Over the course of a year, these notes were refined in the family's workshop in Fontainebleau, where the fragrance was finally created.


Olfactory Notes

It opens with a brisk burst of lemon verbena, peppermint, and bergamot, delivering a vibrant, green freshness that instantly evokes early morning dew on Irish fields. As the top brightness softens, iris and violet leaf emerge, bringing a gentle heliophilous floral dimension and a soft, powdery-green heart—like walking through a meadow speckled with early blooms. Soon, ambergris and sandalwood settle in, weaving a warm, subtly marine-woody veil over the green core. An undercover layer of oakmoss, cedar, and ambroxan lingers, grounding the scent in refined depth without overpowering its fresh origins.
