Cuir de Chine is a fragrance that is equally the combination of osmanthus and suede. When smelling Cuir de Chine, you will first catch the rough, fruity aspect that the two share. Cuir de Chine starts off as a dazzlingly bright, orange-fresh bush of osmanthus. However, after a couple of minutes you will start to smell a bead of fragrant flowers thrown on freshly-tanned leather. In addition, if you were to distracting yourself for a couple minutes, the leaves would be gone and be replaced by the smell of a cup of strong black tea and homemade apricot jam. As you keep smelling Cuir de Chine, you will also be able to smell thin, translucent skin of freckled apricot, a piece of gray suede, dry grass prickles, icy peach bones and dense leathery spirit. All these different smells come together to create the unique fragrance that is Cuir de Chine.
