Andrea Casotti's journey into perfumery is as unconventional as it is inspiring. With a background in nuclear engineering from the Politecnico di Milano, Andrea's analytical mind found a creative outlet in the world of scents. His passion for art, particularly street art, and his scientific acumen converged to shape his unique approach to fragrance creation.
In 2016, Andrea co-founded The House of Oud (THoO) alongside Mohammed Abu Nashi, an oud producer from Jakarta. This collaboration was born out of a shared appreciation for art, perfumery, and cultural exploration. THoO stands out for its fusion of Italian design sensibilities with Middle Eastern olfactory traditions, particularly the use of oud.
Andrea's creations are known for their storytelling and emotional depth. Notable fragrances include:
Blessing Silence: A minimalist blend of oud and rose, offering a serene and harmonious experience.
Breath of the Infinite: Combines freesia, peony, and peach with a base of Cashmeran, musk, and Ambroxan, delivering a fresh yet sensual scent.
Dates Delight: A gourmand composition featuring peony, caramel, honey, and vanilla, capturing the sweetness of love.
