My  initial impression of Parfums de Marly Perseus is one of balanced yet uninspired execution. Upon the first spritz, I was greeted with an immediate burst of bright grapefruit, underscored by the earthy and grassy undertones of vetiver. This citrus opening is lively and invigorating, presenting a promising start. However, as the fragrance develops on my skin, it transitions into a more predictable woody-citrus blend. The supporting notes of bergamot, green mandarin, and dry woods provide a pleasant backdrop, but they do little to elevate the composition to a standout level. The inclusion of ambergris accord adds a subtle depth, though it lacks the rich, complex nuances of natural ambergris.

Perseus is a versatile fragrance that suits a wide range of individuals. It's bright and airy, making it perfect for warm weather.
